08/24/2020 RESOLUTION NO. 15878 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR THE REGIONAL STORMWATER CAPTURE PROJECT AT RED MORTON PARK AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE GRANT AGREEMENT AND RELATED DOCUMENTS WHEREAS, the Legislature and Governor of the State of California have approved $913,333 in grant funding for the regional stormwater project capture project at Red Morton Park; and WHEREAS, this resolution and a grant agreement are required in order to obtain the funds from the California Natural Resources Agency; and WHEREAS, the grant funding is for the development of California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documentation and the preparation of improvement plans needed to support said documentation (the "Project"); and WHEREAS, the California Natural Resources Agency has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the grant, setting up necessary procedures; and WHEREAS, said procedures established by the California Natural Resources Agency require the City of Redwood City (Grantee) to certify by resolution the approval of its application for grant funding for the Project before submission of said application to the State; and WHEREAS, Grantee will enter into an agreement with the State of California for the Project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY: 1. Approves the acceptance of grant funding from the California Natural Resources Agency for the Project. 2. Certifies that it understands the assurances and certification in the Project Information Form. 3. Certifies that it will have sufficient funds to complete the Project, namely the completion of CEQA documentation and improvement plans to support said documentation.
