~×$:r~ 0'~16/95 (010/~0) <br /> [ <br /> <br /> 0 R I G I N A L 6/26/95 <br /> <br /> R E S 0 L U T I 0 N N O. 12508 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT WITH SECOND HARVEST FOOD BANK OF SANTA <br /> CLARA AND SAN MATEO COUNTIES <br /> <br /> (OPERATION BROWN BAG) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San <br />Mateo Counties ("Contractor") conducts a free food distribution <br />program for elderly residents of the City of Redwood City (the <br />"Program"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in <br />order to conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 1995, and ending June 30, 1996; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br /> <br />and desires to allocate to Contractor, the sum of Ninety-Nine <br />Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty-Five and No/100 Dollars <br />($99,785.00) from its Community Development Block Grant funds for <br />the foregoing purposes; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been <br /> presented to, and reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br /> approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br /> AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Second Harvest Food Bank <br /> <br /> of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties (Operation Brown Bag)", <br /> (form dated 6/16/95), by and between the City of Redwood City and <br /> Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo <br /> <br /> <br />
