RD- ng -7 <br />CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 1 r, /. &5 <br />CONCURRENT RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE ADDENDUM TO THE EIR FOR <br />THE CINEMA/RETAIL PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision of the California Environmental Quality Act <br />(Public Resources Code Section 21000 et seq) ( "CEQA "), on October 17, 2000, the <br />City Council and the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City approved and <br />certified a Final Environmental Impact Report on the "Downtown Mixed -Use <br />Retail /Cinema Project' (the "EIR "); and <br />WHEREAS, Section 15164 of the CEQA Guidelines provides that a lead agency <br />or responsible agency may prepare an addendum to a previously certified EIR if some <br />changes or additions are necessary, but none of the conditions calling for the <br />preparation of a subsequent EIR have occurred; and <br />WHEREAS, as set forth in the Addendum (the "Addendum "), dated November <br />2002 to the EIR, attached to this Concurrent Resolution as Exhibit A, the preparation of <br />an Addendum was appropriate under CEQA. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />AND THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES <br />HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City Council and Agency hereby find that an Addendum to the <br />EIR is the appropriate document required by CEQA to be prepared for the Retail <br />Cinema Project for the reasons set forth in the Addendum, attached hereto as Exhibit A <br />and incorporated herein by reference. The City Council and Agency hereby approve <br />the Addendum, which shall be considered to be part of the EIR for the Retail /Cinema <br />Project described therein. <br />F:Atty /Reso /Reso.1348 1 <br />120502 <br />
