12/07/2020 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15921 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY RECITING THE FACTS AND DECLARING THE <br />RESULTS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ON NOVEMBER 3, 2020 <br />WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held and conducted in the City of <br />Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, <br />as required by law for the purpose of electing four members of the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, notice of the election was given in the time, form and manner <br />prescribed by law, vote centers were properly established, election officers were <br />appointed and in all cases said election was held and conducted and votes were cast, <br />received and canvassed and the returns made and declared in the time, form and manner <br />required by the provisions of Elections Code of the State of California for holding of <br />elections in general and charter cities; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolutions 15847, 15848, and 15849 the County of San <br />Mateo Elections Office canvassed the returns of said election and has certified the results, <br />which have been received and are attached and made part hereof as Exhibit A. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. Attached hereto as Exhibit A is the Certificate from the Chief Elections Officer and <br />the Completed Canvass of the Vote and the Certified Election Results. <br />2. The number of votes given in the City to each of the persons voted for at the <br />election for the respective offices for which the persons were candidates are listed <br />in the attached Exhibit A. <br />3. The total number of votes cast in the City was 20,619 <br />4.
