12/21/2020 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15924 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY ALLOCATING AN ADDITIONAL $69,567 IN UNSPENT <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS FROM <br />THE PRIOR YEAR TO THE CDBG CURB RAMP PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, on June 8, 2020, the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Annual Action Plan for <br />the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnerships <br />(HOME) Program was approved by the City Council of the City of Redwood City (the "City <br />Council"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Annual Action Plan included an allocation of $531,183 for the <br />installation of Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) compliant curb ramps and <br />sidewalk repairs in the City of Redwood City's (the "City") low -moderate income <br />neighborhoods (the "CDBG Curb Ramp Project"); and <br />WHEREAS, the CDBG Curb Ramp Project will build or retrofit curb ramps and <br />sidewalks to current ADA standards in areas with high pedestrian activity; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has $69,567 in unspent CDBG funds from the prior year, <br />which are available to be allocated to the CDBG Curb Ramp Project for a total allocation <br />of $600,750 in CDBG funds; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to allocate these additional funds to the <br />CDBG Curb Ramp Project to make these curb ramps and sidewalks in compliance with <br />ADA. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The foregoing recitals are true and correct. <br />Section 2. The City Council hereby allocates an additional $69,567 in unspent <br />CDBG funds from the prior year to the CDBG Curb Ramp Project for a total allocation of <br />$600,750 in CDBG funds. <br />Section 3.
