MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> December 11, 2000 <br /> MO. 00-353 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: December 12, 2000 <br /> <br />Attention: City Attorney <br /> Assistant to the City Manager <br /> <br />SUBJECT Guidelines for City of Redwood City's Contribution toward <br /> Carrington Hall <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on December 11, 2000. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmember Howard, Ira, Pierce, Vice Mayor Claire and <br /> Mayor Ruskin <br /> <br />Absent: Hartnett, Jordan <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> M/S Pierce/Claire to: <br /> <br /> i) Approve the Guidelines to be Used in Releasing City Funds for <br /> Carrington Hall Renovation Project, and Authorize Staff to Distribute the <br /> Funds as per the Guidelines with the following revisions. <br /> <br /> a.) $150,000.00 of the $250,000.00 allowed to be a matching grant for <br /> the Packard Foundation. <br /> b.) The other $100,000.00 of the grant must be matched only by <br /> individuals and businesses in the community and not by any form of <br /> foundation. <br /> c.) The money must be used for other than the initial structural repairs. <br /> All the money must be used for that stage of construction over and <br /> above the initial construction funded by the school district so that <br /> even the matching grant to the Packard Foundation and the other <br /> $100,000.00 must be used for construction over and above the <br /> approximately $3,000,000.00 funded by the school district. <br /> <br /> <br />
