MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> June 26, 2000 <br /> MO. 00-258 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: June 27, 2000 <br /> <br />Attention: City Attorney <br /> Parks & Recreation <br /> Childcare Coordinator <br /> <br />SUBJECT Proposed Child Care Facility in Redwood Shores <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on June 26, 2000. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmember Hartnett, Howard, Ira, Jordan, Pieme, Vice Mayor Claire and <br /> Mayor Ruskin <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carded and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> Recommendation: Proposed Child Care Facility in Redwood Shores; Seeking <br /> Council Direction on further development of City owned property. <br /> <br /> M/S: Howard/Ira to approve Alternative 1) long term land lease to a <br /> private developer who would construct a child care facility and <br /> operate it or lease it to a child care operator and Finance Option A) <br /> the City could use funds from its reserves to finance the <br /> construction of the facility and be repaid, by the developer, over a <br /> 20 year term. Staff to work in conjunction with the Finance <br /> Committee to work out the details and return to Council. The <br /> motion passed by a unanimous voice vote. <br /> <br />Patricia S.
