<br />SWC:djg-c 10/6/81 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />OCT 12 1981 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8978 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF A <br />GASOLINE pmvERED AIR COHPRESSOR;AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF AGREEMENT THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Article VII of Chapter <br /> <br />2 of the Redwood City Code, the City Manager has solicited bids for <br /> <br />the furnishing of a gasoline powered air compressor to be used for <br /> <br />municipal purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and filed <br /> <br />with the Director of Finance for the furnishing of said equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, L. N. Curtis and Sons, Oakland, California is the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder for the furnishing of said equipment, and it 1S <br /> <br />the intention of this Council to award said bid to L. N. Curtis and Sons; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of L.N. Curtis and Sons, in the total lump sum amount <br /> <br />of Five Thousand Forty-Nine and 84/100 Dollars ($5,049.84) for the <br /> <br />furnishing of a gasoline powered air compressor, in accordance with <br /> <br />the bidder's proposal, and in accordance with the specifications <br /> <br />therefor on file in the office of the Director of Finance, is hereby <br /> <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br /> <br />responsible bidder for the furnishing of said equipment. <br /> <br />2. The City ~1anager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement <br /> <br />with L.N. Curtis and Sons for the furnishing of the above mentioned <br /> <br />equipment in accordance with, and subject to, the terms and conditions <br /> <br />of the aforementioned specifications and in accordance with the <br /> <br />aforementioned bidder's proposal. <br /> <br />3.
