ORIGINAL <br />SEP 28 1981 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI ON <br /> <br />N O. 8 973 , <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE PORTION OF PUBLIC <br />STREET (MADRONE STREET) IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 <br />OF DIVISION 9, STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA; PROVIDING FOR THE RESERVATION <br />OF CERTAIN STOFU~ DRAIN EASEMENT THEREFROM; SETTING <br />TIME AND PLACE FOR HEARING ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN <br />OR OBJECTING TO THE PROPOSED VACATION; AND ORDERING <br />POSTING OF NOTICE OF SUCH PROPOSED VACATION . <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a portion of Madrone Street in the City of Redwood City, <br /> <br />heretofore dedicated as a public street, is not needed for present or <br /> <br />prospective street purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City intends to <br /> <br />vacate said portion of Madrone Street pursuant to the provisions of <br /> <br />Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE ; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate <br /> <br />a portion of Madrone Street, as hereinafter described, subject to <br /> <br />the reservation of a certain storm drain easement therein <br /> <br />hereinafter described, and elects to proceed with such vacation <br /> <br />pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets <br /> <br />and Highways Code. <br /> <br />2. The portion of Madrone Street to be vacated is as indicated <br /> <br />on the plat on file in the office of the City Clerk, entitled <br /> <br />"Abandonment of Madrone Street with Storm Drain Easement," marked <br /> <br />"Exhibit A", and together with the storm drain easement excepted and <br /> <br />reserved therefrom, is more particularly described as follows: <br /> <br />8973 <br />
