<br />~ <br /> <br />CGM:mf 8/26/81 <br /> <br />8960 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />SEP 14 1981 <br /> <br />RES 0 L U T r 0 N N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AN APPLICATION FOR BLOCK GRANT FUNDS PURSUANT TO <br />ROBERTI - Z I BERG URBAN OPEN SPACE AND RECREATION <br />PROGRAM FOR HOOVER SCHOOL PARK IN THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of California has <br /> <br />enacted the Roberti - Z'Berg Urban Open-Space and Recreation Program <br /> <br />which provides funds to certain political subdivisions of the State <br /> <br />of California for acquiring lands and for developing facilities to <br /> <br />meet urban recreation needs; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been <br /> <br />delegated the responsibility for the administration of the program, <br /> <br />and has established necessary procedures governing applications by <br /> <br />local agencies under this program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department <br /> <br />of Parks and Recreation require an applicant to certify by resolution <br /> <br />the approval of applications prior to submission of said applications <br /> <br />to the State of California; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said applications contain a certification that an <br /> <br />applicant will comply with all Federal, State, and local environmental, <br /> <br />public health, relocation, affirmative action, and clearing house <br /> <br />requirements and all other appropriate codes, laws, and regulations <br /> <br />prior to the expenditure of Block Grant Funds; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the development of Hoover School Park is of a high <br /> <br />priority and satisfies the most urgent park and recreation needs of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That this Council: <br /> <br />(a) Approve the filing of an application for Block Grant <br /> <br />8960 <br />
