MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> November 23, 1998 <br /> MO. 98-274 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: November 30, 1998 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Finance Director <br /> Police Chief <br /> <br />SUBJECT Proposed Use of Citizens Option of Public Safety Funds of $169,612 by the <br /> Redwood City Police Department (706) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on November 23, 1998. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Claire, Hartnett, Ira, Jordan, Leipzig, Vice Mayor Ruskin, and <br />Mayor Howard <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> M/S Leipzig/Hartnett to approve staff recommendation for Police Chief to utilize <br /> $59,882 of the funds towards meeting the remaining cash match requirement for the <br /> Federal COPS-MORE Automation Grant; and approve utilizing $109,730 to offset <br /> any unanticipated costs associated with the automation project. Finally, approve the <br /> expenditure of any remaining funds for the training and equipment of the <br /> department's Special Weapons and Tactics team.
