MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> August 31, 1998 <br /> MO. 98-229 <br /> <br /> CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br /> Redwood City <br /> <br /> DATE: September 4, 1998 <br /> <br /> Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director <br /> Public Works Services Director <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: Shopping Cart (709) <br /> <br /> Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on August 31, 1998. <br /> <br /> Present: Councilmembers Bain, Claire, Hartnett, Ira, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Howard <br /> <br /> Absent: Leipzig <br /> <br /> The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> M/S; Hartnett, Ira, to authorize staff to create the strongest ordinance <br /> allowed under state laws with the most practical approach, circulate it to store <br /> owners, work with them to "fine tune" it, and bring it to Council for adoption. <br /> <br /> The motion was adopted unanimously by those present (Leipzig absent) by <br /> roll call vote. <br /> <br />~~City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
