MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> BUDGET SESSION <br /> <br /> July 6, 1998 <br /> MO. 98-176 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: July 8, 1998 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Finance Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Request for additional funding from the SAN MATEO <br /> CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU (501) <br /> <br />Meeting oftbe Council of the City of Redwood City on July 6, 1998. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Bain, Claire, Hartnett, Ira, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Howard <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> Council Member Hartnett advised that the Convention Bureau was a <br /> client of his Office and he left the dais <br /> <br /> City Manager Everett said the Bureau had called and requested an increase <br /> after the Budget had been prepared. He said they had requested an increase <br /> of up to 4%, and the Bureau was currently funded at $30,000 per year. <br /> <br /> M/S: LEIPZIG/IRA TO INCREASE THE FUNDING BY TEN <br /> PERCENT TO A TOTAL OF $33,000 <br /> <br /> CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE OF COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Pm~SE~rr (6) <br /> <br /> <br />
