<br />12/15/2008 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14915 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE <br />OWNER PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH THE MENTAL HEALTH <br />ASSOCIATION OF SAN MATEO COUNTY FOR SUPPORTIVE <br />HOUSING AT CEDAR STREET APARTMENTS AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE EXPENDITURE OF HOUSING SET-ASIDE FUNDS FOR THE <br />CEDAR STREET PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City (the <br /> <br />"Agency") has prepared a Redevelopment Plan (the "Redevelopment Plan") for <br /> <br />Redevelopment Plan Area A (the "Project Area") which allocates taxes from the Project <br /> <br />Area to the Agency pursuant to Health & Safety Code Section 33670, for the purposes <br /> <br />of Redevelopment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 33334.2 and 33334.3 of the Health & Safety Code require <br /> <br />the Agency to use twenty percent (20%) of the taxes allocated from the Project Area to <br /> <br />the Agency for the purpose of increasing, improving, and preserving the community <br /> <br />supply of low and moderate income housing ("Redevelopment Housing Set-Aside <br /> <br />Fund"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Consolidated Plan and Housing Element goals of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City ("City") include expanding the supply of affordable housing for Redwood <br /> <br />City households who are low income and special needs populations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the properties at 104 and 112 Cedar Street (formerly Assessor's <br /> <br />Parcel Numbers 053-188-050 and 053-188-060, respectively; now a single parcel with <br /> <br />A TTY IRESO/RESO.1879 <br />121008 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />14915 <br />MUFF # 405 <br />
