<br />.' .c <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />CGM:wb 6/16/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8886 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUL 6 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR PERSONAL SERVICES (UMPIRE SERVICES - <br />RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood city conducts softball leagues <br /> <br />as part of its recreational program for the benefit of the citizens <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the operation of such softball leagues requires that <br /> <br />umpires be selected, trained and scheduled to officiate at such <br /> <br />softball games; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Redwood City Umpire's Association has represented to <br /> <br />the City that it has the personnel qualified to perform the afore- <br /> <br />mentioned duties and responsibilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an agreement <br /> <br />by and between the City of Redwood City and Redwood City Umpire's <br /> <br />Association for said association to furnish City with the aforesaid <br /> <br />skills and services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement for Personal <br /> <br />Services" (form dated 6/15/81), by and between the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City and Redwood City Umpire's Association, copies of which are <br /> <br />presently on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy <br /> <br />reference is hereby made, is hereby approved, and the City Manager <br /> <br />is hereby authorized to execute the same for and on behalf of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />8886 <br />
