~ ' 0 0 CGM:mf 6/30/81 QRIGi NAL 8885 JUL 6 1981 RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. ---------- RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR LANDSCAPE CONSTRUCTION AND PLANTING AT SPINAS AND FLEISCHMAN PARKS; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8848, adopted May 18, 1981, the City Clerk called for bids for landscape construction and planting at Spinas and Fleischman Parks in the City of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and WHEREAS, SHOOTER & BUTTS, INC., Mountain View, California, is the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said bid to said Shooter & Butts, Inc.; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bid of Shooter & Butts, Inc. in the amount of Three Hundred Forty-six Thousand Six Hundred Fifty and No/IOO Dollars ($346,650.00), more or less, comput~d in accordance with bidder's proposal dated June 16, 1981, for landscape construction and planting at Spinas and Fleischman Parks in Redwood City, including additive alternates 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 and , Work Unit Nos. 1 and 2 is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest-responsible bidder for said work. 2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for the above mentioned work, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 hereof, are rejected. 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that certain agreement entitled "Agreement" (form dated 6/29/81) by and between the City of Redwood City and Shooter & Butts, Inc., 8 885
