KRUEGER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council was saddened to learn of the passing <br />of John H. Krueger on June 13, 1981; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, John Krueger, best known as conductor of the San <br /> <br />Mateo County Symphony Orchestra, also served the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City as a member of its Civic Cultural Commission from October, <br /> <br />1969 to November, 1971 and from October, 1975 to April, 1978; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, John also contributed to the cultural enrichment of <br /> <br />the community in his role as Director of Fine Arts at Canada Col- <br /> <br />lege, where he helped nurture the musical talents of many local <br /> <br />young musicians; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, John was also active in, and a leader of, profess- <br /> <br />ional associations, including service as past president of the <br /> <br />~1usic Association of California Community Colleges; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council does hereby express its profound sadness <br /> <br />upon the passing of John H. Krueger, and does further express its <br /> <br />condolences to the family of John Krueger on behalf of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City and its citizens. <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit a copy of <br />this resolution to the family of John H.
