<br />..' <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />SWC:wb 5/21/81 <br /> <br />ORIGI NAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8859 <br /> <br />JUN 1 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING CERTAIN BUILDINGS IN <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS HISTORIC LANDMARKS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of Section 40.7 <br /> <br />of the Code of the City of Redwood City the Historic Preservation <br /> <br />Advisory Committee has presented an application to the Planning <br /> <br />Commission requesting the designation of Historic Landmark for <br /> <br />the following five (5) buildings: <br /> <br />Old County Courthouse <br />City Fire Station No. 1 <br />San Mateo Bank/Fitzpatrick Building <br />Hilton & Titus Blacksmith Shop <br />Quong Lee Laundry; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission, upon conducting a study of <br /> <br />such proposed designations, and upon the testimony received at the <br /> <br />Noticed public hearing held upon such application, has recommended <br /> <br />that the following two (2) buildings be designated as historic <br /> <br />landmarks: <br /> <br />Old County Courthouse <br />City Fire Station No.1; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 40.7 the application of <br /> <br />the Historic Preservation Advisory Committee is now before this <br /> <br />Council: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE ; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council, upon consideration of the application, the <br /> <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission, and testimony received <br /> <br />at the public hearing upon such matter, does hereby designate <br /> <br />those buildings as Historic Landmarks as are shown on "Exhibit A" <br /> <br />attached hereto, and incorporated herein by reference. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to notify the Building <br />Official and the County Recorder of such designations. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />8859 <br />
