<br />.. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />CG~.1:wb 5/14/81 <br /> <br />MAY 1 8 1981 <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF ONE ORIGINAL <br />1/2-TON TRUCK AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />THEREFOR <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8852 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8829, adopted April 6, <br /> <br />1981, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of one <br /> <br />1/2-ton truck to be used for municipal services; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />furnishing of said equipment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, BALESTRA PONTIAC, Redwood City, California, is <br /> <br />the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said equip- <br /> <br />ment, and it is the intention of this Council to award said bid <br /> <br />to Balestra Pontiac; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS.: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Balestra Pontiac, in the total lump sum of <br /> <br />Nine Thousand Five Hundred Twenty-six and 11/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($9,526.11), for the furnishing of one 1/2-ton truck (including <br /> <br />telescope steel cover), in accordance with the specifications <br /> <br />therefor on file in the office of the city Clerk, is hereby <br /> <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said equipment. <br /> <br />2. The city Manager is hereby authorized to execute an <br /> <br />agreement with Balestra Pontiac, for the furnishing of the above <br /> <br />mentioned equipment in accordance with, and subject to, the terms <br /> <br />and conditions of the aforementioned specifications and in accord- <br /> <br />ance with the aforementioned bidder's proposal. <br /> <br />3. Any informalities in the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 <br /> <br />hereof are hereby waived. <br /> <br />8852 <br />
