MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> April 13, 1998 <br /> MO. 98-097 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: April 16, 1998 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Council <br /> Finance Director <br /> Parks, Recreation and Community Services Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Conceptual Designs and Cost Estimates for Stulsaft and Stafford Parks <br /> (708,304) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on April 13, 1998. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Bain, Claire, Harmett, Ira, Leipzig, Ruskin and Mayor Howard <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> Vice Mayor Ruskin said he believed the time had come to make these improvements. <br /> He said it would be valuable for the Council to discuss it a little further at the April 27 <br /> Council Meeting. Vice Mayor Ruskin said "we should go ahead and do it right.., as <br /> well as we can," but the doubts' about specifics should be further addressed. Vice <br /> Mayor Ruskin said he was in favor of giving staff direction to begin working on this <br /> project so that it could be completed next year. <br /> <br /> City Manager Everett explained that staff would begin negotiations right away, but <br /> he wasn't sure if those negotiations could be completed before the April 27 meeting. <br /> He said Council could go forward with the budgeted $825,000 in improvements and <br /> delay a decision on the additional amount to a later time. <br /> <br /> CONSENSUS: Mayor Howard determined it to be the consensus of the Council to <br /> continue discussion of this item to the April 27 Council meeting. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
