5/7/01 <br />0RIGI N.AL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14214 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE <br />(1) COMPACT UTILITY TRACTOR AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br />WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were solicited for <br />the purchase of one (1) compact utility tractor for the Department of Public <br />Works Services in the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation, three bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, Turf & Industrial Equipment Co. of Santa Clara, California is <br />the lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />accept the bid of Turf & Industrial Equipment Co.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Turf & Industrial Equipment Co. for the sale of one (1) John <br />Deere Model 790 Compact Utility Tractor with Model 70 Front Loader and Model <br />FM2060 Rear Flail Mower to the City of Redwood City, in the amount of Sixteen <br />Thousand Three Hundred Sixty-two and No /100 Dollars ($16,362.00) in <br />accordance with said bidder's proposal dated March 24, 2001 is hereby <br />accepted, and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder <br />in response to solicitation for bids without advertisement for said equipment. <br />Reso -1139 1 <br />DES:djk <br />Shared /Redwood /Council <br />04/25/01 <br />
