MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL WORKSHOP MEETING <br /> <br /> JANUARY 31, 1998 <br /> MO. 98-036 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: February 4, 1998 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Council <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Council Meeting Times (205) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on January 31, 1998. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Claim, Hartnett, Ira, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Howard <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> Council Members discussed the appropriate starting times for the three <br /> Council Meetings per month and closed sessions. <br /> <br /> Council Member Leipzig spoke in favor of closed sessions beginning <br /> no earlier than 5:30 p.m. and Council meetings to continue to commence <br /> at 7:30 p.m. Councilman Leipzig said he had been the only Council <br /> Member who had invoked the 11:00 p.m. deadline and had only done so <br /> two or three times. He said the policy had not been abused and it should <br /> remain. <br /> <br /> Council Members agreed it had not been abused and discussed different <br /> options. <br /> <br /> <br />
