5/7/01 <br />0 F t I" I; I A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14209 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 2000 -2001 TREE <br />PRESERVATION AND SIDEWALK REPAIR PROGRAM; <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID <br />WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No.14146, adopted February 26, <br />2001, the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 2000 -2001 Tree Preservation and <br />Sidewalk Repair Program, Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, six bids were received for the <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, L & B Engineering, Inc. of San Francisco, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />award said bid to L & B Engineering, Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of L & B Engineering, Inc. in the amount of Six Hundred <br />Twenty -nine Thousand Nine Hundred and No /100 Dollars ($629,900.00), <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated April 25, 2001 for the <br />2000 -2001 Tree Preservation and Sidewalk Repair Program, is hereby accepted <br />and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder <br />for said work. <br />2.
