MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> January 12, 1998 <br /> 98-024 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: January 13, 1998 <br /> <br />ATTENTION: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Director of PublicWorks Services <br /> Director of Parks, Recreation and Community Services <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Tree Policy Task Force (701) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on January 12, 1998. <br /> <br />Present: Council Members Buchan, Claire, Hartnett, Ira, Leipzig, Ruskin, <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> MiS RUSKIN/HARTNETT TO EXTEND THE MORATORIUM ON STREET <br /> TREE REMOVALS UNTIL JULY; WITH THE EXCEPTIONS THAT THE PUBLIC <br /> WORKS SERVICES DEPARTMENT BE ALLOWED TO DEAL WITH DEAD, <br /> DYING OR DISEASED TREES; THEY BE ALLOWED TO DEAL WITH <br /> IMMEDIATE OR EMINENT HAZARDS; THEY BE ALLOWED TO DEAL WITH <br /> THE AFFECTS OF MAJOR STORMS; THEY BE ALLOWED TO MAKE INTERIM <br /> REPAIRS; EXCEPTIONS TO BE BROUGHT TO THE TASK FORCE OR <br /> REPORTED TO THE FULL COUNC1L; ADD DIRECTOR INGRAM TO THE <br /> HERITAGE TREE AUTHORIZATION PROCESS; AND ANY MAJOR STEPS <br /> TAKEN BY THE PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION DEALING WITH <br /> THE REMOVAL AND CUTTING DOWN OF TREES BE BROUGHT TO THE <br /> COUNCIL (OR TASK FORCE) DURING THE MORATORIUM TO END ON JULY <br /> 1. <br /> <br /> CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
