<br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SiliCON VAllEY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION <br />and THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY SERVING AS FISCAL AGENT FOR <br />REDWOOD CITY 2020 <br />FY 2008-09 <br /> <br />This is a MEMBERSHIP AGREEMENT, made and entered in this z,/)( day of <br />February, 2009, by and between the SILICON VALLEY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION <br />an independent, public benefit organization ("SVCF") and THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, a charter city and municipal corporation of the State of California ("City") serving <br />as fiscal agent for REDWOOD CITY 2020 (RC 2020), a COMMUNITY <br />COLLABORATIVE that coordinates the delivery of services to children, youth and <br />families living in the City of Redwood City and North Fair Oaks, an unincorporated area <br />adjacent to Redwood City. <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in 1995 the City of Redwood City, the Redwood City Elementary <br />School District, the Sequoia High School District and the County of San Mateo formed <br />Redwood City 2020 (then known as Redwood City 2000) to provide leadership and <br />oversight necessary to develop a coordinated approach to strengthen academic and <br />social outcomes for children and youth living within the attendance area of the Redwood <br />City School District and provide valuable resources to families so they can be <br />successful primary caregivers to their children, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, each year, since the formation of Redwood City 2020, these original <br />partners (the City, Redwood City School District, Sequoia High School District and San <br />Mateo County) have renewed the Redwood City 2020 partnership by formal agreement, <br />and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the public partners who formed Redwood City 2020 have now been <br />joined by additional partners (John W. Gardner Center for Youth and Their Communities <br />- Stanford University, Kaiser Permanente, Sequoia Healthcare District and Canada <br />College) and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, all of these Parties desire to renew their Redwood City 2020 <br />membership agreement for Fiscal Year 2008-2009 <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, IN CONSIDERATION OF THE MUTUAL COVENANTS <br />AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED HEREIN, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Purpose.
