ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> for <br /> <br /> SPRING STREET SHELTER <br /> <br /> (MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION OF SAN MATEO COUNTY) <br />THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this (7~a'~- day of ~o.,~, 2002, by <br />and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal corporation <br />of the State of California ("City") and Mental Health Association of San Mateo County, a <br />California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides a emergency shelter program for single <br />persons with mental disabilities (the Program); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), which is <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) from its Community <br />Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Ten <br />Thousand Dollars ($10,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, solely for the purposes described <br />in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br />Service.agr <br />10/8/o2 <br /> <br /> <br />
