Legislature in response to suggestions of President Roosevelt, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is our opinion that the enactment of such Dleasures are <br /> <br />desirable for financing revenue-producing improvements under the Na.tional <br /> <br /> <br />Industrial Recover.f Act, and speeding up the return of prosperi t)", now there- <br /> <br />fore be it <br /> <br />RESOLVED, that Governor Merriam and our Senator and .A.ssemblyman <br /> <br /> <br />in the Legislature be, and they are hereby requested to support and vote for <br /> <br />said bills, and do everything in their power to secure their early enact~nt <br /> <br />into law. <br /> <br />RESO~VED, that the City Clerk be, and he is hereby directed, to <br /> <br />forward certified copies of these resolutions immediately to Governor <br /> <br />Merriam and our Senator and Assemblyman at Sacramento. <br /> <br />The foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City at its regular meeting held on the 1st ~ of <br />April, 1935, by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolution: <br /> <br />Councilmen, L. C. Christensen, J. M. Eva, E. A. Fletcher, Robt. N. Jones, <br />C. G. Lambert, Paul A. McCarthy, Geo. W.
