..f <br />0RIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14218 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO <br />(2) USED PASSENGER VEHICLES; AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the Redwood <br />City Code, the City Manager caused public notice inviting bids to be published for <br />the purchase of two (2) used passenger vehicles for the Police Department of the <br />City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication one bid was received; and <br />WHEREAS, Hertz Car Sales of Santa Clara, California was the lowest <br />responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to accept the <br />bid of Hertz Car Sales; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Hertz Car Sales, in the total amount of Forty -two Thousand <br />Three Hundred Twenty -four and No /100 Dollars ($42,324.00), computed in <br />accordance with said bidder's proposal dated March 16, 2001 for the sale of two <br />(2) used passenger vehicles, which bid is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br />which reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder for the sale of said vehicles to the City. <br />5/14/01 <br />Reso -1137 1 <br />FXS:djk <br />Shared/Shared/Redwood/Council <br />04/23/01 <br />
