AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> for <br /> <br /> ELSA SEGOVIA CENTER - DAY CENTER FOR WOMEN, <br /> <br /> CHILDREN AND FAMILIES <br /> <br /> (CLARA-MATEO ALLIANCE, <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~O <br />2002, by and be~een the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a cha~er city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("Ci~") and Clara-Mateo Alliance, Inc., a California <br />nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Pa~ies"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides a day center for women, children and families; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit B (Contract Objectives), which is <br />incorporated herein by this reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed Contractor's request; finds that providing <br />the financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to <br />allocate to Contractor the sum of Six Thousand Dollars ($6,000) from its Community <br />Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Pa~ies hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Six <br />Thousand Dollam ($6,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, solely for the purposes described <br />in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br />Se~ice.agr <br />10/8/02 <br /> <br /> <br />
