"," <br /> <br />-'~'~"", ~ <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />- _;...J,.-, <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUIRING THE ABATEMENT OF NUISANCE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City did, on the <br />21st day of March, 1938, pass and adopt Resolution Declaring Nuisance <br />No. 38-1, in which resolution it was declared certain noxious or dan- <br />gerous weeds were growing upon all the sidewalks, streets, avenues, roads, <br />boulevards and highways in said city and upon all of the lots and prop- <br />erty in said city, which weeds are of a kind which bear seeds of a wingy <br />or downy nature and will attain such large growth as to become a fire <br />menace when dry, and that said weeds constitute a public nuisance; <br />AND WHEREAS, after the passage of said Resolution Declaring Nui- <br />sance No. 38-1 the street Superintendent of the City of Redwood City duly <br />and regularly posted notices of the passage of said resolution in time, <br />form, number and manner as required by law; as appears from the affida- <br />vit of C.L. Dimmitt on file in the office of the Clerk of said City of <br />Redwood City; <br />fu~D WHEREAS, at the time fixed in said notices and in said reso- <br />lution when objections to the removal of such weeds would be heard and <br />given consideration by the Council of said City of Redwood City, no ob- <br />jections of any kind were made against the removal of such weeds, and <br />said Council now having acquired jurisdiction thereon: <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood <br />City that the Superintendent of Streets of saiq city be and he is hereby <br />ordered and directed to abate the nuisance existing as speCified and set <br />forth in said Resolution Declaring Nuisance No. 38-1, as provided by law. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at <br />a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of May, 1938, by the follow- <br />ing vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolution, <br />Councilmen, <br /> <br />Harold F.
