MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> December 1, 1997 <br /> MO. 97-228 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: December 5, 1997 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Council <br /> Public Works Services Director <br /> <br /> SUBJECT: Street Tree Planting Policy: City Council discussed the City's existing <br /> tree planting policy for street tree installations (205) (701) <br /> <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on December 1, 1997. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Buchan, Claire, Harmett, Ira, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Howard <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carried and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> M/S: LEIPZIG/RUSKIN to form a Task Force, with Vice Mayor Ruskin and <br /> Council Member Hartnett, and approve a 45-day moratorium on cutting down <br /> street trees (under the City's street tree maintenance contracts) in Redwood City <br /> to look at all the issues discussed tonight. (Mayor Howard added that additional <br /> members could be added by the Task Force.) <br /> <br /> CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE. <br /> <br />Arlyn C.
