06/22/2009 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14946 <br />RESOLUTION VACATING A PORTION OF A PUBLIC SERVICE <br />EASEMENT OVER THE LANDS OF SLOUGH IN THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY PURSUANT TO SECTION 8333 OF THE <br />CALIFORNIA STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE <br />WHEREAS, subdivision maps recorded in August 1987 for Seaport <br />Centre filed in Volume 117 Pages 17 -26 granted the City of Redwood City <br />easements for utility maintenance purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, the portion of the public service easement to be vacated is <br />more particularly depicted and described in Exhibit "A ", attached hereto and by <br />this reference incorporated herein, and <br />WHEREAS, Section 8333 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State <br />of California allows a City to summarily vacate a public service easement if the <br />easement has been superseded by relocation and there are no other public <br />facilities located within the easement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby <br />incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br />2.
