RESOLUTION NO. 116 REQUIRING THE ABATEMENT OF NUISANCE WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City, did, on the 20th day of March, 1944, pass and adopt Resolution NQ. 113, Declaring Weeds a Nuisance and Ordering Their Re- movsl, in which resolution it was declared that noxious or dangerous weeds were growing upon all the sldewalks,streets, avenues, roads, boulevards and highways in said city, and upon , all the lots and property in said city, which weeds are of ' a kind which bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature and will at- tain such large growth as to become a fire menace when dry, and that said weeds cons'tltute a public nuisance; and WHEREAS, after the passage of said Resolution No. 113, Declaring Weeds a Nuisance and Ordering Their Removal, the street Superintendent of the City of Redwood,City duly'and regu- larly caused to be posted notices of the passage of said resolution in time, form, manner and number as required by law; and WHEREAS, at the time fixed in said notices and in said resolution when objections to the removal of such weeds would be heard and given consideration by the Council of the City of Redwood City, no objections of any kind were made against the removal of said weeds, and said Council now having acquired jurisdiction thereof; THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the Superintendent of Streets of said city be and he is hereby ordered and directed to abate the nuisance existing 8S specified in said Resolution No. 113, Declaring Weeds a Nuisance and Ordering Their Removal, and as provided by law.
