<br />CGM:yc 3/20/81 <br />DES:mf 3/24/81R <br /> <br />ORIGJNAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />8818 <br /> <br />MAR 2 3 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION TENTATIVELY APPROVING CULTURAL FUTURE <br />PLAN OF SAN MATEO COUNTY ARTS COUNCIL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Arts Council has been designated <br /> <br />by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo to implement <br /> <br />the State/Local Partnership Program of the California Arts Council; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Arts Council has sought to <br /> <br />ascertain the cultural needs and assets of the residents of the <br /> <br />County of San Mateo through extensive contact with a significant <br /> <br />cross-section of the residents thereof; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the San Mateo Arts Council, based upon the inform- <br /> <br />ation it has received, has proposed cultural programs for the <br /> <br />benefit of all segments of population within said county; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Council has prepared a "Cultural Future Plan" <br /> <br />dated March, 1981, and has submitted it to this Council for <br /> <br />approval prior to March 31, 1981; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires tentatively to approve <br /> <br />said plan, but also to receive comments and recommendations <br /> <br />thereon from the City's Civic Cultural Commission, Parks and <br /> <br />Recreation Commission, and any other agency or officer of the <br /> <br />City having an official interest in said plan; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The IICultural Future Plan" prepared by the San ~1ateo <br /> <br />County Arts Council and dated March, 1981, is hereby tentatively <br /> <br />approved, subject to review and comment thereon by the Civic <br /> <br />Cultural Commission, the Parks and Recreation Commission, and <br /> <br />any other agency or officer of the City 'of Redwood City having <br /> <br />8 818 <br />
