SWC:bc 9/17/80 RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 8 699 ORiGlN!\L SEP 22 1980 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF SELF- PROPELLED VACUUM SWEEPER; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR THE FURNISHING THEREOF WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.65 of the Redwood City Code, the City Manager solicited written bids for the furnishing of a self-propelled vacuum sweeper; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation one (1) bid was received for the furnishing of said equipment; and WHEREAS, H. V. Carter Co. Inc., Oakland, California, is the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said equipment, and it is the intention of this Council to award said bid to H. V. Carter Co. Inc.; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bid of H. V. Carter Co. I~c. in the total lump sum amount of Five Thousand Four Hundred ~y-seven and 80/100 S-t./ l. 7, fa Dollars ~$S,~37.80) for the furnishing of a self-propelled vacuum sweeper in accordance with the bidder's proposal dated August 29, 1980, and in accordance with the specifications therefor on file in the office of the Director of Finance, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said equipment. 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with H. V. Carter Co. Inc. for the furnishing of the abovementioned equipment in accordance with, and subject to, the terms and conditions of the aforementioned specifications and in accordance with the aforementioned bidder's proposal. * * * 8699
