RESOLUTION I 507 :1:"

Resolut1on authorizing accounting corrections as recommended
by C. G. Uhlenberg's Audit dated August 7, 1947.

Resoived, and it is hereby orderd that the AUditor make the
transfers as recommended by the Audit Report of O. G. Ublenberg,
dated August 7, 1947-

Paragraph 4, Page 9, which reads as follows:

1

"For the pUl~pose of this report we have divided consumers
accounts receivable between "current" and "delinquent". Included
in the delinquent accounts receivable are numerous old consumers'
accounts aggregating $3,355.47, dating back to the year 1942 and
prior, which Should have been written off as uncollectible in
prior years. In view of the fact that most of these accounts are
"outlawed" and in many cases the debtor can not be located, it is
our recommendation that the City Council formally authorlze the
"write-off".ot the se accounts. This action should. not in anY' way
be construed to preclude the collection of the accounts at some
future date as is ev1denoed by the fact that the sum of $13g.bO
has been oollected on $961.~2 uncollectible accounts written otf
during the current year..

And paragraph 3, Page 15, which reads as follows:

"The Servicemen's Emergency fund is relatlvley inactive and
it appears that the cash balance in this fUnd could be transferr~d
to the general fund. Future demands for which this fund was
created could then be recorded as an expenditure of the general
fund."

Ayes, and in favor of resolution -
Councilmen: Britsohgi, Granger, Holmquist, MONUlty, swift,
Werder and Hilton.

Noes, and against resolution -
COWlcilmen :

None.

Absent:

Councilmen -

None.

~~~..
/J / ~O Mayor or--:-l ty of Redwood Oity
Attest: I~ 11-lv~
City 01 rk of City of Redwood City
I hereby approve the foregoing Resolution this 8th day of sept.
1947-
~U/~
yO~ of - . edwood 1y
