(YOUTH AND FAMILY <br />SERVICES) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sequoia Y.M.C.A. (Youth and Family Services) has <br /> <br />been established for the principal purpose of diverting youths <br /> <br />from the Juvenile Justice System and to provide a delinquency <br /> <br />prevention capability for families and agencies; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sequoia Y.M.C.A. (Youth and Family Services) has <br /> <br />requested financial assistance for use <br /> <br />by it in conducting <br /> <br />its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1980, <br /> <br />and ending June 30, 1981; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br /> <br />and desires to pay to Sequoia Y.M.C.A. (Youth and Family Services) <br /> <br />the sum of Six Thousand Six Hundred and No/lOO Dollars ($6,600.00); <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for approval <br /> <br />an agreement between the City of Redwood City and Sequoia Y.M.C.A. <br /> <br />(Youth and Family Services), and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to approve the same; <br /> <br />NO~\] ,. THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement ,('form dated 8/14/80), by and between the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City and Sequoia Y.M.C.A. (Youth and Family Services), <br /> <br />a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, <br /> <br />to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, <br /> <br />is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and <br /> <br />directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />8678 <br />
