RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF INSERTING ~~CHINE; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR THE FURNISHING THEREOF; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSIT WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8634, adopted July 7, 1980, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of an inserting machine to be used for municipal purpos~s; and WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, a bid was received and filed with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said equipment; and WHEREAS, Bell & Howell, Burlingame, California is the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said equipment, and it is the intention of this Council to award said bid to Bell & Howell; NOW, THEREFORE ; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The bid of Bell & Howell, in the total lump sum amount of Fourteen Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-one and 34/100 Dollars ($14,291.34) for the furnishing of an inserting machine (not including any option bids) in accordance with the bidder's proposal dated August 4, 1980, and in accordance with the specifications therefore on file in the office of the City Clerk, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said equip- ment. 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Bell & Howell for the furnishing of the abovementioned equipment in accordance with, and subject to, the terms and conditions of the aforementioned specifications and in accordance with the aforementioned bidder's proposal. 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return to the successful bidder upon execution by it of the contract for the furnishing of the abovementioned inserting machine to the 8669
