MINUTE ORDER <br /> CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> <br /> Februay 24, 1997 <br /> MO. 97-040 <br /> <br />CITY CLERK DEPARTMENT <br />Redwood City <br /> <br />DATE: February 26, 1997 <br /> <br />Attention: City Manager <br /> City Attorney <br /> Council <br /> Community Development Director <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Update on Beautification and Code Enforcement Aeitivties (709) <br />Meeting of the Council of the City of Redwood City on February 24, 1997. <br /> <br />Present: Councilmembers Buchan, Claire, Howard, La Berge, Leipzig, Ruskin <br /> and Mayor Hartnett <br /> <br />Absent: None <br /> <br />The following motion was made, carded and entered on the Minutes: <br /> <br /> Mayor Itartnett said he agreed with the recommendations of the Team, <br /> expressed concern that a Charette might slow down the process, and said he <br /> believed the Architectural Advisory Committee members could be very <br /> helpful. He said he also agreed that Woodside Road is very important, but <br /> suggested landscaping and beautification efforts be done in a step by step <br /> process. <br /> <br /> Councilman Claire said he would be happy to offer the motion "with your <br /> (the Mayor's) comments appended." He added that CalTrain should also <br /> be contacted to dean-up thc rights-of-way through Redwood City. <br /> <br /> 3) M/S: CLAIRE/BUCHAN APPROVE THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE <br /> TEAM TO PROCEED WITH WORK ON THE EL CAMINO REAL AND <br /> INCLUDE THE ARCHITECTURAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE AS <br /> APPENDED <br /> <br /> CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE. <br /> <br />Arlyn C.
