II) <br /> <br />WHEREAS,-the City of Redwood City did advertise for <br /> <br />sealed bids for the construction of a municipal sewage <br /> <br />disposal project; and <br /> <br />miEREAS all sealed proposals were publicly opened <br /> <br />and read in the office of the City Manager, CitW Hall, <br />Redwood City, California, on Wednesday, March 10, 1948; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED by the Council of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the contract for the sewage pmnping and <br />treatment works (Project Unit No. I) is hereby awarded <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />to the lowest responsible bidder, to-wit, FRED J. EARLY, <br /> <br /> <br />JR. COMPANY, a corporation--total bid, $449,863.00. <br /> <br /> <br />2. That the contract for the interceptor sewer <br /> <br />lines and Steinberger street force main (Project Unit <br />No. II) is hereby awarded to the lowest responsible bid- <br />der, to-wit, PETER SORENSEN--total bid, .$158,777.00. <br />3. That the City Manager of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />be, and he is, hereby authorized to make and enter into writ- <br /> <br />ten contracts with said successful bidders and to receive <br /> <br />and approve all bonds in connection therewith. <br />4.
