<br />'-'i <br /> <br />SWC:mf 2/9/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />8793 <br /> <br />ORIGiNAL <br />FEB 9 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE WEEK COMMENCING WITH <br />THE THIRD MONDAY IN FEBRUARY OF 1981 AS NATIONAL <br />PATRIOTIC WEEK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the freedom known in this country was won through <br /> <br />great sacrifice and long tribulation; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, similar sacrifices have been made by the citizenry <br /> <br />of the United States to extend liberty and well-being to other <br /> <br />nations of t~e world; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is altogether fitting and proper to recognize <br /> <br />such great freedoms, and to honor so great a Nation; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The week commencing with the third Monday in February <br /> <br />of 1981 is hereby designated as "National Patriotic Week". <br /> <br />2.
