<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. lJf <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING REMOVAL OF RACIAL RESTRICTIONS, LOT 8, <br />BLOCK 51, MAP NO. 2 OF CENTRAL ~RK <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lot 8 in Block 51 as shown on that certain map <br /> <br /> <br />entitled "Map No. 2 of Central Park, Redwood City, San Mateo <br /> <br />County", filed in the office of the Gounty Recorder of San Mateo <br />County on July 20, 1912 in Book 8 of Maps at pages 15 and 16, <br /> <br />was sold to the City of Redwood City for delinquent taxes, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, HARRY HUTCHINGS and LOREE HUTCHINGS, his wife, <br /> <br />thereafter purchased said lot and obtained a deed from the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City, in which deed racial restrictions were inserted <br /> <br />restricting occupancy thereof to members of the Caucasian race, <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said property is situated in an area which is <br /> <br />generally occupied by non-Caucasians and said restrictive clause <br /> <br />was inadvertently inserted in said deed; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City that all restrictions as to racial <br /> <br />occupancy of said property be and they are hereby removed and <br /> <br />the owner of said property and any successor in interest is <br /> <br />hereby freed from any restrictions with respect to occupancy <br /> <br />of said property. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution, <br />duly certified by the Clerk of the City be delivered to said <br /> <br />HARRY HUTCHINGS AND LOREE HUTCHINGS, his wife, for recordation. <br /> <br />" <br />j~ <br /> <br />\I <br />" <br /> <br />~} <br /> <br />" <br />~\ <br />
