<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />tl~U <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING REMOVAL OF RACIAL RESrrRICTIONS, <br />LOTS 56 and 57, BLOCK 4, WEST REDWOOD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lots 56 and 57 in Block 4 as shown on <br /> <br />t:hat cept;Ei.in map entitled "West Redwood ff, filed in the <br /> <br />office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on <br /> <br />October 8, 1908 in Book 6 of Maps at page 43, were sold <br /> <br />to the city of Redwood City for delinquent taxes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, LEONARD REALTY CO., a corporation, <br /> <br />thereafter purchased said lots and obtained a deed fl'lom <br /> <br />tbe City of Redwood City, in which deed racial restrictions <br /> <br />were inadvertently inserted restricting occupancy thereof <br /> <br />to members of the Caucasian race; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City that all restrictions as to <br /> <br />racial occupancy of said property be and they are hereby <br /> <br />removed and the OiNner of said property and any succe ssor <br /> <br />in interest is hereby freed from any restrictions with <br /> <br />respect to occupancy of said property. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this reso- <br /> <br />lution, duly certified by the Clerk of the City be delivered <br /> <br />to PENINSULl.l. rfITLE GUAHANTY COMPANY, for recordation. <br /> <br />" <br />j\, <br /> <br />" <br />;\ <br /> <br />" <br />1\ <br />
