<br />'"-1 1'7 b <br />I <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 776 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING REMOVAL OF RACIAL RESTRICTIONS, <br />LOT 31 AND PART LOT 32, GRAY TRACT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lot 31 and the Northwesterly 1/2, front <br /> <br />and rear measurements, of Lot 32, as designated on the map <br /> <br />entitled "MAP OF THE GRAY TRACT BEING A PORTION OF THE McEVOY <br /> <br />TRACT, REDWOOD CITY, SAN MATEO CO., CAL." which map was filed <br /> <br />in the office of the Recorder of San Mateo County, State of <br /> <br />California on October 12, 1906 in Liber 4 of Maps at page 38, <br /> <br />were sold to the City of Redwood City for delinquent taxes; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, JOSEPH CANEPA and LAVINIA CANEPA, his wife, <br /> <br />thereafter purchased said lots and obtained a deed from the <br />Ci ty of Redwoo~ City, in which deed :r'acial res\trictions were <br /> <br />inadvertently inserted restricting occupancy thereof to <br /> <br />members of the Caucasian race; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City that all restrictions as to <br />racial occupancy of said property be and they are hereby <br />removed and the owner of said proper"ty and any successor <br />in interest is hereby freed from any restrictions with re- <br /> <br />spect to occupancy of said property. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolu- <br />tion, duly certified by the Clerk of the City be delivered <br />to PENINSULA TITLE GUARANTY COMPANY, for recordation. <br /> <br />" <br />#\ <br /> <br />" <br />~... <br /> <br />o)~ <br /> <br />.- <br />-tiC <br />
