ANENDING RESOLUTION It .3 AUTHORIZING CITY HANAGER TO HEQUEST FUNDS FOR PrlEPARATION OF ENGlliliERING PLANS liND SPECIFICATIONS FOR TIDE MTE PROJECT WHEREAS, the state of California under Chapter 47, Statutes of 19L~ (4th Extra Session) has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director of Finance to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies defined therein as counties, cities or cities and counties for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one-balf of the cost of preparing engineering field s~~veys, engineering or architectl~al designs and working and detailed drEt\.rings and specifications (hereinafter called nplansfl~ required for post~.]'ar public 1>lorks proj ects described as lfspecific projects" in said Act; and \JH&i.EAS, the City of Hed'\..J'ood City, hereinafter designated as "Local AgencyU desires to apply to the Director of Finance and/or the State Allocation Board, as tile case may be, for an allotnarit of the State's share of the estimated cost of preparing the completed plans hereinafter lilentioned and th.ere has been prepared and presented to this Legislative Body for consideration an application for such purpose; and W}ill}~1S, local agency has provided, or will make available upon approval of the aforeUlentioned application, sufficient fill1ds to prel~re the completed plans herein mentioned: l.JCM THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Locall'i.gency submit the aforesaid appli- cation to the Director of Finance and/or the State Allocation Board, as the case may be, requesting allotment of One Thousand, T\..J'o Hundred Eighty and no/lOa Dollars ($1,280.00) being not more than one-half the cost of preparing said completed plans, or for such amotmt as may be approved by the Director of Finance and/or the State Allocation Board, (said allotment to be used for the purpose of defraying the cost of preparing said cmnpleted plans required) for a specific project to be undertaken by local agency and described as "Redl/ood Creek Tidegate structure". BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the estimated cost of preparing such plans is Two Thousand, Five Hundred Sixty and no/lOa Dollars ($2,560.00) and that local Agency has made }Fovision for paying one-half or more of the cost of preparing such plans; BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that for the purposes of this application, E. A. Rolison, City lJanager, Box 391, Redwood City, California be and he hereby is designated as the authorized agent of Local Agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the above In.entioned applica tion on behalf of the Local ,Agency and submit the same to the Director and/or State allocation Board together with a certified statement of the estimated cost of prepar:\.ng such plans and such other information as m.ay be required; and said authorized agent is fl~ther authorized and directed as the representative of Local Agency to conduct all negotiations and conclude all arrangeTI~nts, including submission to the Director of Finance of applications for reimbursement, 1"rhich may be necessary to secure rej.mbursement for the Sta t.e 's share of the expenditv.res made in preparing said completed plans.
