<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 9 7 7 <br /> <br />REQUESTING ESTABLISHMENT OF THIRTY-FIVE MILES PER HOUR <br />SPEED LIMIT ON WOODSIDE ROAD IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />RESOLVED, by the Council of Redwood City, as follows: <br />1. That the speed limit on portions of Woodside Road, <br />being a State Highway in the City of Redwood City, is 55 miles <br />per hour, which speed is an exoessive speed in view of the <br />heavy traffio and the numerous cross entrances to said highwayj <br /> <br />2. That the Division of Highways of the State of Call- <br /> <br />fornia, in conformity with provisions of the Vehicle Code of <br />~le State of California, is hereby requested to decrease the <br />prima facie speed limit on all of Woodside Road within the <br />corporate limits of the Oity of Redwood City, namely, from <br />El Camino Real to Alameda de las Pulgas, so that the prima <br />facie speed limit upon all of said highway shall be thirty- <br />five miles per hour, which speed will facilitate the orderly <br />movement of traffic and is reasonable and safe upon said Wood- <br /> <br />side Road within the oorporate limits of Redwood City. <br />3. That the Clerk of the City of Redwood City be and he <br />hereby is ordered and directed to mail a certified oopy of this <br />resolution to the Department of Publio Works, Division of High- <br />ways, of the state of California. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
