<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 1116 <br /> <br />REQUESTING ADDITIONAL PERMANENT STATE HIGHWAY <br />PATROLMEN IN SAN MATEO COUNTY <br /> <br />RESOLVED, by the Council of Redwood City, as follows: <br />1. That San Mateo County is dangerously low on manpower <br />1n the California Highway Patrol unit stationed in Redwood City. <br /> <br />2. That as a result of such deficiency in manpower, <br /> <br /> <br />there has been no adequate enforcement and consequent reduotion <br /> <br />in fatalities and injuries on Bayshore Highway. <br />3. That the accident toll was cut when five additional <br /> <br />patrolmen were sent to this County on a temporary basis. <br /> <br /> <br />4. That San Mateo County needs more men in the state <br /> <br /> <br />Highway Patrol office in this County, on a permanent basis, to <br /> <br /> <br />help restore sanity in driving on Bayshore Highway. <br /> <br /> <br />S. That the Clerk of Redwood City is herebjr direoted <br /> <br /> <br />to mail copies of this resolution to the state Highway Patrol <br /> <br /> <br />Commissioner Clifford Peterson, state Senator Harry L.
