<br />--- <br /> <br />\ ,l/'{ <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />NO. 1164 <br /> <br />ESTABLISHING POLICY AND STANDARDS FOR CON- <br />STRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS AND CONSTRUCTION OF <br />WALKWAY AREAS IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />RESOLVED, by the Council of Redwood City, as follows: <br /> <br />1. Whenever any property in any commercially zoned <br /> <br />area is used for any purpose, a concrete sidewalk shall be <br /> <br />constructed in the walkway area abutting on said property in <br />aocordance with City specifications. A standard commercial <br />sidewalk shall consist of Portland cement concrete, ~inohes <br />in thiokness, over a 4-inch rock or sand base, to cover the <br /> <br />entire area between the curb line of the adjacent street and <br /> <br />the property line of the property abutting on said street. <br /> <br /> <br />2. Whenever any property in any residentially zoned <br /> <br />area is used for any purpose, a concrete sidewalk shall be <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />constructed in the walkway area abutting on said property in <br /> <br /> <br />accordance with City specifications. A standard sidewalk in <br /> <br /> <br />a residential area shall be 4 inches in thickness, of Portland <br /> <br /> <br />cement concrete, on a 4-inch rock or sand base, 5 feet in width, <br /> <br />and located in accordance with the directions of the City <br /> <br />Engineer of Redwood City. <br /> <br />3.
