<br />~ <br /> <br />I '- '1 z.... <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1272 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING REMOVAL OF RACIAL RESTRICTIONS <br />NORTHEASTERLY 1/2 LOT 8, BLOCK UKfI, MAP OF <br />BOYD & KENT'S ADDITION <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Northeasterly 1/2 of Lot 8, in Block <br /> <br />lettered IlK" as shown on that certain map entitled uMap of <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Boyd and Kent's Addition, Redwood City, Cal.", filed in the <br />office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County on June 12, <br />1905, in Book "DI1 of Original Maps at page 10 and copied <br />into Book 3 of Maps at page 66, was sold to the City of <br />Redwood City for delinquent taxes; and <br />WHEREAS LILLIE CANTINO, a married woman, thereafter <br />purchased said property and obtained a deed from the City of <br />Redwood City, in which deed racial restrictions were inadver- <br />tently inserted restricting occupancy thereof to members of <br /> <br />the Caucasian race; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of Red- <br /> <br />wood City that all restrictions as to racial occupanoy of <br />said property be and they are hereby removed and the owner <br /> <br />of said property and any successor in interest is hereby <br /> <br />freed from any restrictions with respect to occupanoy of said <br />property. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution, <br />duly certified by the Clerk of the City of Redwood Oity be <br />delivered to SAN MATEO COUNTY TITLE COMPANY for recordation. <br /> <br />~.. * * <br /> <br />
