ATTY/RESO.0072/PC RESO DESIGNATING HISTORIC LANDMARK FOR 992 EDGEWOOD <br />REV: 09-14-2021 VR <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 21-09 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY <br />COUNCIL DESIGNATE 992 EDGEWOOD ROAD A LOCAL <br />HISTORIC LANDMARK AND APPROVE A HISTORIC <br />PRESERVATION AGREEMENT <br />WHEREAS, on May 10, 2021, Conrad Ray (Property Owner/Applicant) applied <br />for a local landmark designation and a Historic Preservation Agreement (Project) at <br />992 Edgewood Road (APN: 052-010-070) in Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 8, 2021, the Historic Resources Advisory Committee <br />(HRAC) held a duly noticed public hearing in accordance with all applicable <br />requirements of the State Planning and Zoning Law and the Redwood City Municipal <br />Code to consider the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the HRAC has determined that the property meets Criterion C for <br />designation as an historic landmark according to the historic designation criteria <br />established by the Redwood City Historic Preservation Ordinance (Chapter 40 of the <br />Redwood City Code) and recommended by a vote of 4-0 local landmark designation; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the HRAC recommended that a Historic Preservation <br />Agreement (Mills Act Contract) be approved for 992 Edgewood by a vote of 4-0; <br />and <br />WHERAS, on August 27, 2021, a public hearing notice of the Planning <br />Commission hearing was published in the San Mateo Daily Journal and sent to the <br />Property Owner; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 21, 2021, the Planning Commission held a duly <br />noticed public hearing in accordable with all applicable requirements of the State <br />Planning and Zoning Law, the Redwood City Municipal Code, and the Zoning <br />Ordinance to consider the Project; and <br />W HERAS , consistent with the HRAC recommendation, the Planning <br />Commission finds the residence and property located at 992 Edgewood Road, <br />Redwood City, California meets the historic designation criteria established by the <br />Redwood City Historic Preservation Ordinance as follows:
